Renault UK range and activities
Renault has been present in the UK since 1902 and offers innovative vehicles with a touch of French flair including the Clio 4, all-new Twingo, KADJAR and of course the revolutionary Renault ZOE (pictured on this page). Renault UK is currently going from strength to strength with sales in 2015 totalling 127,343 vehicles, making Renault Group the fastest growing volume franchise in the UK, outperforming the overall market for the third consecutive year. Groupe Renault also has a rich motorsport heritage and has been heavily involved in the Formula E Championship since its inception, with the Renault Edams team returning to defend the team championship it won in 2015.
A green Renault
Groupe Renault are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our activities and products throughout their lifecycle, from design to recycling, making our partnership with the Eden Project and Eden Sessions a perfect fit. The Renault eco2 signature was launched to identify our most efficient and economical vehicles. Such vehicles emit less than 120g/km of C02, are manufactured in a certified ISO 14001 plant and can be 95% recoverable at the end of their lifecycle.
Renault is passionate about the future of electric vehicles and has achieved a significant amount in a short space of time. Since the first initiatives to promote electric vehicles were announced back in 2008, Renault has produced four EV’s, headed by the Renault ZOE, the first Renault car designed entirely as an all-electric model. The ZOE produces zero C02 emissions whilst driving and boasts a number of world firsts, including first mass-produced electric vehicle with an NEDC driving range of over 130 miles and first electric vehicle to be fitted with the Chameleon Charger that adapts to various power levels of charging. The Renault ZOE was recognised as the ‘Best Electric Car under £20,000’ for a third consecutive year by What Car? in 2015 and Renault as a group is now the best-performing brand in Europe in EV sales with 23,086 units registered in 2015.
