About the band

Formed in Newark, New Jersey, US rock band My Chemical Romance made their debut in 2002 with the independently released album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.

They signed to Reprise Records the following year and made their major label debut with 2004’s Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. The album contained the platinum hit I’m Not Okay (I Promise), the gold-certified Helena, and The Ghost of You.

Rolling Stone hailed the three-times-platinum The Black Parade as one of the top albums of 2006. Lead single Welcome to the Black Parade topped both Billboard’s Alternative Songs tally and the UK Official Singles chart.

The band toured extensively behind the album – appearing as characters from The Black Parade – and released the live album The Black Parade is Dead! in 2008.

Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys was released in 2010 and topped Billboard’s Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. It was followed by a series of singles later released as Conventional Weapons in 2013.

Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls

MONDAY 16 MAY: FRANK TURNER AND THE SLEEPING SOULS

Frank is the former frontman of post-hardcore group Million Dead, who split in 2005. Despite an obvious move towards the folk genre, much of Frank’s solo work still displays his punk sensibilities. Frank’s ninth and most recent studio album, FTHC, was released on 11 February 2022 and reached number one in the UK albums chart in the week following its release. The performance will mark his return to the Eden Sessions, having previously played in 2012.
LostAlone

TUESDAY 17 MAY: LOSTALONE

Acclaimed by Alternative Press as “the most underrated band in the history of music”, LostAlone comprise Steven Battelle (vocals/guitars), Mark Gibson (drums/vocals), and Alan Williamson (bass/vocals). Steven Battelle had become a songwriter-for-hire and behind the wheel of a solo career when friends, confidantes and colleagues My Chemical Romance inquired as to his availability to “open a couple of shows next year”. He said he could not do that but knew of a mothballed melodic alt-rock three-piece who could – hence the return of LostAlone.

COVID information

For the Eden Sessions in May/June/July 2022 no COVID status checks will be required for entry. This is in accordance with the current advice and guidance from UK and local Government, and will be continually reviewed. Should guidance change, we will contact ticket purchasers directly with an update. We recommend that everyone coming to an Eden Session takes a lateral flow test on the day of the concert.
