About the band

Madness are one of the most successful British pop groups of all time. They have had 15 singles in the UK top ten, including One Step Beyond, My Girl, and Baggy Trousers, and one UK number one single, House of Fun.

Hailing from Kentish Town in London and fronted by Graham “Suggs” McPherson, they became a hit band of the late 1970s and early 1980s two tone ska revival.

In November 2023, the band released their twelfth studio album, Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est la Vie. The album marked their first studio release in seven years and became Madness's first ever number one studio album in the UK.

Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est la Vie is the band's inaugural foray into self-producing, working alongside engineer and mixer Matt Galsbey (Ed Sheeran, Maisie Peters, Rag’N’Bone Man).

Rhoda Dakar

Special guest: Rhoda Dakar

As member of the all-female 2Tone trailblazers The Bodysnatchers, Rhoda Dakar sang on the iconic single ‘Let’s Do Rocksteady’, which charted in the top 20. Since the band disbanded, Rhoda forged an impressive career forming The Special AKA with Jeremy Dammers. The band are mostly noted for their top 10 hit ‘Free Nelson Mandela’.
