About the band

In 2008 JLS came second on The X Factor, and remain the biggest self-founded group to ever emerge from the talent show. They have chalked up an impressive five UK number one singles, including the enduring dance floor filler Beat Again and the arms-aloft heart-tugging ballad Everybody In Love.

They’ve sold more than six million records and more than 1.4 million live tickets. The JLS live experience is so in demand they have played London’s O2 Arena more than 20 times now.

The band became the first X Factor act to win a BRIT Award when in 2010 they took home both British Breakthrough Act and British Single for Beat Again, the fastest-selling single of 2009.

They later added five MOBO Awards, four Digital Music Awards and three Urban Music Awards to their collection of silverware. Their five studio albums – JLS, Outta This World, Jukebox, Evolution and 2.0 – have all reached the top 5 in the UK album charts.

JLS's appearance at the Eden Sessions follows the 2021 release of their comeback album 2.0, the first JLS record since 2013’s Goodbye – The Greatest Hits.

Tinchy Stryder

Special guest: Tinchy Stryder

One of the most popular London rappers of his generation, Tinchy Stryder was an early star of the grime scene, alongside Dizzee Rascal and Wiley. He launched his solo career in 2006 with his first album, Star in the Hood. This was followed by Catch 22, which made it to number two in the UK album chart and spawned two number one singles: Number 1 featuring N-Dubz and Never Leave You featuring Amelle Berrabah of the Sugababes. Tinchy released his third album, Third Strike, in 2010 and followed it with his most recent record, the double album 360° / The Cloud 9 LP, in 2016. In 2014, he teamed up with CBBC favourites the Chuckle Brothers to release the charity single To Me, To You (Bruv) in aid of the African-Caribbean Leukaemia Trust.
